The
Zion People and the Establishment of the House of Prayer
in the Earth

original word that this article is based upon many years
ago. I regret that I cannot find the identity of the
author of that word.)
Establishing Zion
There are a number of
people with a "Great Calling" upon their life,
and we KNOW it. Yet, we are isolated and hidden from
view. We have been frustrated because our calling has
seemed of little value, let alone be that which can
realistically bring forth fruit. Because of this great
calling, the enemy has launched viciously upon many, and
has worked overtime to keep them suppressed and
oppressed. The Word is full of the blessings that are to
be bestowed upon the "People of Zion" in this
day. Those that are going through much tribulation,
especially over finances, are being prepared for those
blessings.
"Zion" is,
first of all, a people. A people who have been called
into total abandon to the heart and will of the lover of
their souls, and through that abandoned love brought
into complete redemption from the fall. The term,
"Dwelling Places of Zion" is not just
referring to geographical locations. The "dwelling
places" are where the Zion People live, worship,
prophesy, intercede: in short, the "dwelling
places" are Houses of Prayer -- the places where
the Zion people bring down the work of heaven! There
will be no such dwelling places without such a people.
Isa 51: "And I
have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee
in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the
heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say
unto Zion, Thou art my people."
This is the House of
Prayer! The House of Prayer that God is planting in the
earth today is about a people who are receiving the
words of God in their mouths through worship,
intercession and the prophetic. He has covered us in the
shadow of His hand in order to plant the heavens into
us, laying the very foundations of the new heavens and
new earth in and through us first. This work is about
the crucifying of our flesh so that we can truly say
that we are crucified with Christ. This work going on in
us right now is a work of bringing every kingdom in us
into subjection to Christ, becoming His people in
victory, His people completely!
I hear the Father
saying: "Encourage my people to go deeply into this
work -- let these temporary hardships go deep, changing
them deeply. Allow yourself to fall like a seed into the
soil of my presence, allow yourself and everything in
you to go down into death before me, so that I may have
my harvest in and through your life!"
Zion is, secondly, an
establishment of places where this people bring down the
works of heaven. Through this deep work of sacrifice the
"Dwelling Places of Zion", the
"Tabernacle of David", these "Houses of
Prayer" are beginning to manifest among us. Those
of us laboring to birth it today are first letting
everything fall into death before Him, then rigorously
sending our roots down into the vision of God's heart
for this house, and sending forth shoots that begin to
manifest what these places will be like. They will be
first of all places of God's presence the likes of which
this earth has never witnessed. Because of His presence
these places will be places of great power for healing,
transformation, Kingdom resources, and much more, as the
kingdoms of this world are taken hold of and made to
become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ! The
natural realm blessings will equal the spiritual, and
will be an abundance the likes of which we have never
experienced.

Justice House of Prayer,
Washington DC
There is a national House of Prayer
being established in Washington DC by Lou Engle and a
team of fervent intercessors. This establishment opens
the door to a greater level of authority for the Body of
Christ in the U.S. capital and in the crucial
decisions made there. The following is an excerpt from
their site:
What is unique about the
Justice House of Prayer?
Those that know their God shall be strong
and carry out great exploits. Daniel
11:32
Our mandate is not just to
prayer, but to action. To raise up Holy
Activists, that change the very atmosphere of the city
and region the preside in. Daniel stood in the council
room of God and ruled on earth from the heavenly realms
through prayer, decree and direct action in the
governmental affairs of his pagan nation! We are
called to do no less.
All action will be birthed out of
intimacy and launched through intercession as we hold
24/7 Prayer and Worship at our 201 Pennsylvania Ave
location. But as we pursue the “One Thing” of
intimacy and obey the “First Thing” of governmental
intercession, we will be empowered with the vision and
strategy to perform “The Thing” of Justice.
This will be manifest in several
different arenas:
- Acts of Justice: Serving the
poor and needy in our community.
- Taking on unjust laws such as
abortion.
- Justice Teams – sending out
warriors to come alongside and help other ministries
wage war for the gates of their cities around our
nation.
- Life-Riders – sending out teams
of Young Leaders to help mobilize a generation to
fast, pray and act for Justice and Revival in
America.

Are you ready to love?

John the
Apostle, whose hands had touched the hands of Christ,
whose feet had walked beside Jesus, who had perceived
the mystery revealed in his time said that, in the end,
he knew only one thing--one thing that is all things,
and all wisdom, and all beauty. One sentence distills
the wisdom of a lifetime: love
one another.
In centuries since his lifetime others, too, have
perceived this truth. In fact, they are everywhere, in
high places and in lonely corners of the earth...

Our
Only Foundation
God is shaking everything that can be shaken. So many
are facing things that are bigger than almost anything
that they have ever faced before. As the storms are
raging around us, we can only find our peace as
we dive deeper into His heart. In this time it is
imperative that we find our shelter in the secret
place with Him.
Are you being shaken? Run to your prayer closet and
get alone with God. It is in that place that we
can put down our roots into the depths of His love for
us, in time springing up again from that place of
intimacy in fruitfulness once again. This is our only
foundation, that God so loves us. This is our only security,
that He is near and desires to be our high tower. Run
to Him.
We will not be able to find any security outside of
this place in Him. We will not be able to grow into
any kind of lasting fruitfulness if we do not plant
ourselves in this place. This is the one thing that I
desire, and this is the one thing that the House of
Prayer is all about:
"One thing I ask of the
LORD ,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple" Psalm
27:4.

Prayer and Intercession are
cornerstones of every effort of the House of Prayer. The
House itself will not be established in our cities apart
from the fervent prayers of the saints to see it

heaviness, burnout, or hopelessness. There is a feeling
of not being able to make a difference, and that even
the bravest and most godly decisions seem to make no
overall strategic difference.
The Book of Daniel prophesies that one
of Satan's end time strategies involves wearing down or
wearing out the saints. "And he will speak out
against the Most High, and wear down the
saints of the Highest One"...

Exciting Answers to Prayer in
the House of Prayer
We
have been praying for Sudan in many sessions this fall,
especially for the Christians under persecution in
Southern Sudan. In the Hope For the Nations session on
October 14 we had a special guest, Manase Lomolo, an
official with the interim government of Southern Sudan.
In that meeting Mr. Lomolo reported that there was a
peace accord coming to the table between Northern and
Southern Sudan. He went on to report that the accord was
shaky at best, and wouldn't in any case be considered
until after the month of October, after officials in
Northern Sudan had completed the Muslim season of
Ramadan. He described this peace accord as the region's
best chance to end the long civil war in Sudan. But...

Ongoing Prayer Needs for
Through The Veil
There
is an opportunity that Scott and Dionne would be
instrumental in designing a product line of prophetic
worship implements for use in the House of Prayer that
then would be marketed independently. The proceeds of
this independent business venture would go almost
completely to support House of Prayer projects and
projects for Children at Risk.
- Pray for the
group of Christian businessmen that are backing this
and putting the business together.
- Pray for
creative, Spirit inspired Kingdom designs.
- Pray
for the breakthrough of significant investment that
has been promised to go to this project.
Blessings to you in Christ! We worship in
the extravagant outpouring of God's love -- soaking
in the blessings that He continually pours out upon us from
the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in
Christ.
It's been a time of trial and testing,
but also a time of settling down into the abundant
grace that we receive in the presence of God. It's
been a time of soaking in His presence, waiting on His
huge heart of love for us, and renewing our
hearts, minds, and dedication before Him. We've been
fasting and praying for more wisdom, direction and
provision from His hand, as well as going deeper into
the depths of His call on our lives. We feel that we
are on the very verge of huge breakthroughs in every
area. It's been hard and its been invigorating!
We have been in a season of fasting
and prayer these last few weeks. There is a sense of
change in the air. More of shifting and rearranging,
being placed in strategic alignment. We had been
questioning whether we should continue here in
Kelowna or return to California, our financial
support seems to have dried up like the brook
Cherith that God commanded Elijah to remain beside
while the ravens fed him (1Kings 17). It is just a
trickle now. After praying we believe we are
where we are supposed to be currently. But there is
change on the horizon.
Presently Scott has been released
from his day-to-day War Room duties to pursue
generating support and income streams for our
family. Ironically, actually not-so-ironically, we
have had a prophetic sign that the streams are about
to flow.
Over two weeks ago now, we had a
natural spring literally break through the concrete
floor in our and our neighbor's basements. As you
know, before we left Santa Rosa we had been
prophesying and had prophetic words given to us
that virgin springs will be coming forth as
physical signs of the coming release of God. And
here we are having this very phenomenon occurring
right under us in our basement! The spring cracked
our concrete basement floor in several places and
the water keeps flowing up through those
cracks. I remember how the spring came up in
Gerry & Aurora's front yard and flowed down the
street. Now this same sign is springing up in our
very house, right under us and about to flow out
from here.
Scott has been helping our landlord
dig a well in our neighbor's basement and sink a
sump-pump to pump out the water and direct it
away from the house. The pump seemed to take care of
the "problem" for a couple of days but the
water has continued to come since with more and more
force. Scott has been in the basement nearly
everyday every two hours, sucking up gallons of
water with a shop-vac. Our landlord is having to
hire a contractor to come and dig a drain outside
the building to try and direct the water away from
the house once and for all.
It's an interesting dilemma, but our
spirits are electrified by the implications of
this physical sign indicating the ever
increasing flow of His Spirit that is about to
break forth through us and to us!
Through this season of prayer God is
leading us to unexpected beginnings. The prophetic group
that Scott has been working with here just
recently pushed through into new levels of
possibilities, with a new prophetic open
worship gathering twice a month, new outreach
opportunities, and a new vision for promoting
the heart of the House of Prayer. Scott, Dionne
and Magdalena are about to begin a home group
focused on the young adults of the church. We
are going to be focusing on the Bridal paradigm
through Mike Bickle's teaching on the Song of
Solomon. We believe God has shown us passionate,
lovesick young adults fueling the House of Prayer
here in Kelowna and He is leading us to focus our
energies there.
It is interesting that this was
confirmed to us by the leaders who head the
Community Department here at New Life. The day after
God had shown us in this role among the young
adults, a leader called and asked us if we would
want to lead a home group. Later, after talking with
them about our vision of the House of Prayer
springing forth from our home through the hearts of
young adults, they told us that God had shown
us to them as people to come alongside the
young adults specifically.
We have invited a diverse group of
single, married and about-to-be married young adults
who are leaders already among their peers to
soak in, worship over, and dive deeper into the
revelation found in the Song of Solomon. We
already are involved in many of the young adults'
lives. We are all totally jazzed about what God is
about to break forth in our midst. There is such a
bubbling anticipation of living supernatural springs
gushing forth from our home as we make it a House of
Prayer with the young adults.
God Bless you abundantly,
more than you can desire, ask or think. May He bring you
into the depths of His heart for you, opening
springs of His great love for you -- for you
and for the many nearby who so need His touch in this
world. We pray that you will seek Him and find Him
daily, stepping into rest in His great presence even
as you lay the foundation for astounding fruitfulness in
His Kingdom .
